One man is dead and two other people are missing after a boating incident on Wollaston Lake in northeastern Saskatchewan.
According to the RCMP, the body of a man who had gone missing Wednesday was found in the lake on Saturday. The search continues in the area for another man and a woman who also went missing Wednesday.
Community volunteers, the RCMP, the Canadian Rangers and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association are participating in the search.
On Wednesday at about 5 p.m., the Wollaston Lake RCMP got a call about three overdue boaters.
One of the men left the community at about 12:30 p.m. to pick up the other man and the woman at the barge landing. They were scheduled to return about 2 1/2 hours later, but didn’t arrive.
The boat later was found empty.
