RCMP is investigating after a 17-year-old man from the Onion Lake area was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The man was located near Pipestone Creek Road on Onion Lake First Nation around noon on Oct. 8, after Onion Lake RCMP received a report of an injured person in that area.
RCMP said their initial investigation has determined that where the man was found is not where he received his injuries. Investigators are asking for any information the public might have about suspicious persons or activity around Pipestone Creek Road and Highway 797 between 9:30 a.m. and noon on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021.
Even if a person feels their information is not significant, police are still asking them to report it to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or Onion Lake RCMP at 306-344-5550. If an emergency, people are asked to call 911.
Onion Lake RCMP said the incident is of a serious nature and contacted RCMP Major Crime Unit-South, who is now leading the investigation with the help of Onion Lake RCMP and North Battleford Forensic Identification Section.
The investigation is ongoing.
