For the sixth year in a row, a Saskatoon fire engine has traded in red for pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Saskatoon Fire Department, Saskatoon Firefighters Union IAFF 80 and Cowan Imaging Group have partnered on the initiative that will see Engine 13 sporting pink wrap for the entire month of October.
Engine 13 will remain part of the city’s fire fleet during the month. When not in commission, the pink truck can be seen at various locations across Saskatoon.
All money donated to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan during October will stay in the province and go toward early detection and treatment, health promotion, patient care, and cancer research.
