The province announced 394 new cases of COVID-19 in the province Wednesday and three new deaths.
About one in four of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39. One in six of the new cases eligible for vaccination were fully vaccinated.
More than 3,500 new vaccine doses were reported in Wednesday’s update.
There are 295 hospitalized cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, 16 fewer than posted Tuesday. Of these hospitalizations, 75 per cent were not fully vaccinated.
There are no ICU beds located in the central west, far northcentral, far northeast, far northwest, northeast and southeast regions. A call to the ministry seeking clarification discovered there weren’t any ICU beds in those regions to start with.
A look at the numbers
There are 4,585 cases currently active in the province.
The new cases reported were in Saskatoon (59), northwest (48), Regina (47), north central (36), southeast (31), far northeast (29), central east (27), southwest (25), south central (24), northeast (23), far northwest (22) and central west (seven).
Residence is listed as pending for 16 new cases. Twenty-two previously announced cases with pending residence listed were reassigned.
Hospitals in the province have 228 inpatients with COVID-19 from the Saskatoon (75), Regina (41), northwest (35), north central (28), southwest (16), southeast (10), south central (eight), central east (six), far northwest (four), northeast (three) and central west (two) zones.
Intensive care units have 67 patients with COVID-19 from the Saskatoon (30), Regina (16), central east (five), southwest (five), north central (four), northwest (four) and south central (three) zones.
New recoveries totalled 540, now up to 61,467. A total of 685 deaths have been recorded in the province. Saskatchewan’s fatality rate is at one per cent.
The seven-day average of daily new COVID cases is down five to 467.
Saskatchewan has now had a total of 66,737 cases of COVID-19.

In Saskatchewan, there were 3,548 new vaccines administered. The province has hit 1,552,886 total doses and has 732,011 total vaccinations in the province.
