The provincial government has models of what COVID-19 might do in Saskatchewan, but it appears to be keeping those cards close to the chest.
On Thursday night, the Saskatchewan Health Authority held one of its regular online town halls for doctors.
During the meeting, the authority’s chief medical officer, Dr. Susan Shaw, responded to a question. She confirmed the provincial government does have data modelling the possible progression of COVID-19, but is no longer sharing it widely with doctors.
Models can help predict what cases and hospitalizations might do in the province and are used to help plan the response.
It has been months since the last time modelling data was made public in Saskatchewan.
