Saskatchewan reported 499 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday along with one additional death.
The death was located in the North East zone and brings the provincial death toll to 638.
According to the Ministry of Health, almost two-fifths or 36.5 per cent of new cases were in people 19 years old and younger.
Nearly 10 per cent of new cases were in those who were fully vaccinated.
The number of active cases is 4,329.
Hospitalizations grew to 228. This includes 177 inpatient admissions and 51 in the ICU.
Of those patients, 172 of them or 75.4 per cent were not fully vaccinated.
The Saskatoon zone had the most new cases with 107.
New cases were located in the Far North West (21), Far North Central (1), Far North East (31), North West (59), North Central (76), North East (25), Central West (10), Central East (9), Regina (62), South West (12), South Central (25), and South East (26).
The locations of 35 new cases still need to be confirmed.
The seven-day average of daily new cases rose to 467.
Another 4,251 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered. Of these, 2,334 were new first doses while 1,917 were second shots.
The province had another 4,468 tests administered.
