The RCMP is on the lookout for two women and two cars after an alleged abduction early Wednesday in Meadow Lake.
According to the RCMP, officers from the Meadow Lake and Loon Lake detachments responded at about 3 a.m., after a woman called to say she had been abducted at gunpoint from the Centre Street area in Meadow Lake at about 1:15 a.m.
The woman said she later was released in a rural area near Barthel after being robbed. She wasn’t hurt.
She also told police that, when she was kidnapped, there was a second female victim with the suspects. That woman stayed with the suspects throughout the ordeal.
She’s described only as being of small stature.
The first suspect is described as being about 5-foot-5 with a small to average build, blonde hair and an eyebrow ring. The second suspect was said to be approximately 5-foot-5 with a small to average build, brown hair and an eyebrow ring.
One of their vehicles is described as a black, 2010 two-door Kia Forte with Saskatchewan licence plate 808 MHS. The second suspect vehicle is a white, two-door 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier with Saskatchewan licence plate 625 LSY.
The RCMP said the suspects may be headed to Loon Lake, Saskatoon or Regina.
Anyone who sees the suspects or the vehicles is asked to not approach them, but to call 9-1-1 or Crime Stoppers at 1‐800‐222‐8477 instead. Tips also can be submitted online.
