The RCMP Major Crime Unit North is investigating the death of 30-year-old Catlin Frenchman as a homicide.
Officers responded to a home on the Moosomin First Nation just after 4 a.m. Sunday for reports of an altercation.
Paramedics and police found a man hurt outside the home when they arrived. Frenchman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The RCMP has not provided information on possible suspects at this time and asks anyone with information to contact its local detachments or Crime Stoppers.
The Moosomin First Nation is located about 35 kilometres north of North Battleford.
