Nine hours of CFL football on Saturday sounds like a great thing, doesn’t it?
Sit on the couch and not move ALL DAY! But let’s be real. Who actually has time for that? I wish I did. And now here’s a quick synopsis of my “King of the CFL for a day” theory.
More games played simultaneously. Yes, imagine the Edmonton Elks/Calgary Stamps rematch at the same time as the Ottawa Redblacks/B.C. Lions game on Saturday. If one of the games is a dud, at least if people turn the channel, they have the option of landing on another CFL product.
It’s what makes the NFL so great on Sunday. OPTIONS!
Speaking of options, how about we lose the TSN exclusivity on games. It’s been a great partnership but can we get a game on CTV? Dare I say give Sportsnet a piece of the pie? Having one network do their best to ignore the CFL isn’t good.
Plus, more competition might mean TSN actually indicates how many timeouts each team has on its score bug.
