Sarah Mills: Early wildfire season raises questions about prevention
Wildfires have forced thousands of people in Saskatchewan to leave their homes, and the summer hasn't even started yet. ...
North Battleford RCMP and the Saskatchewan Crime Reduction Team have seized five kilograms – or 11 pounds – of cocaine, during a traffic stop.
The seizure happened on Aug. 13, 2021 when police searched a vehicle.
S/Sgt. Jason Teniuk said the seizure is equal to around 50,000 doses of cocaine.
“Consider 50,000 doses of drugs entering a community of around 14,000 people. It’s a reminder of how significant the impact of one drug seizure can be on a community.”
No charges have been laid yet and the investigation is continuing.
