A man from Yukon is dead after the vehicle he was driving plunged into a creek near Foam Lake on Friday.
The RCMP said Tuesday the single-vehicle crash happened on Highway 16 at about 3:45 p.m. Police have determined the vehicle was heading west when it left the road and went into a nearby creek.
Two men were in the vehicle. The driver, who was from Whitehorse, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger suffered minor injuries.
The Wynyard RCMP and an RCMP traffic reconstructionist are investigating the cause of the crash.
