Anyone looking to tend to their garden may want to reconsider until the weather gets a bit cooler.
Currently, Saskatchewan is under a heat warning with the potential to hit 35 C later this week.
At Dutch Growers in Saskatoon, the extreme heat has pushed staff to temporarily close their greenhouse until things begin to cool down.
The greenhouse will be closed between 1:30 and 6 p.m. every day this week for the safety of the staff and customers.
Rick Van Duyvendyk, the manager of Dutch Growers, told 650 CKOM the temperature inside the greenhouse is sometimes seven or eight degrees hotter than the temperature outside.
“The greenhouse is just so hot, so we have people come in really early in the morning and do all the watering, and then by one o’clock we just shut it down,” Duyvendyk said.
“In that greenhouse, it’s just way hotter than it is outside.”
The rest of Dutch Growers will remain open for regular store hours.
