RIMINI, Italy — Ryan Sclater had a match-high 16 points as Canada’s men’s volleyball team continued its impressive late run at Volleyball Nations League with a 3-0 win over Australia on Tuesday.
Set scores were 25-17, 25-8, 25-20 as Canada improved to 6-8 and moved into ninth place in the standings. Canada has not dropped a set over its last four matches.
Timothy Maar added 13 points for Canada, which is getting needed high-level competition at the tournament before the Tokyo Olympics kick off next month.
Canada concludes its Nations League campaign with a match against fifth-place Serbia on Wednesday.
