At the time the alert was issued, the storm was northeast of Brock and was travelling northeast at 20 kilometres per hour.
Southwest of Saskatoon, in the Herschel area, Jimme’e Wiens and her husband spotted a funnel cloud just after 5:30 Tuesday evening.
“We were kind of looking at it, then I started to get a little more nervous because that funnel cloud went up into the sky,” said Wiens.
There also was a severe thunderstorm warning in place for that area, as well as for regions near The Battlefords, Unity, Maidstone, Swift Current, Herbert and Lucky Lake.
Heat warnings and severe thunderstorm watches were in effect for various areas of the province, too.
