A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for areas in and around the Manitoba border.
Environment Canada issued the watch for areas in and around Hudson Bay, Humboldt, Wadena, Kamsack, Canora, Melfort, Tisdale and Pelican Narrows at 10:41 a.m. Sunday.
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms, which could include strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Funnel clouds aren’t out of the question either, according to Environment Canada.
The thunderstorm threat will diminish early this evening.
