Moose Jaw claimed the hotspot at 33.5 C but the scorching temperature fell short of the city’s all-time mark.
Here are the communities that did set new heat benchmarks:
Assiniboia 32.9 C – old record 32.4 C 2006
Broadview 30.1 C – old record 30 C 1956
Hudson Bay 31.1 C – old record 29 C 2017
Last Mountain Lake 32.1 C – old record 31 C 2019
Melfort 31.6 C – old record 31 C 1992
Rockglen 30.3 C -old 29.7 C 2006
Wynyard 30.9 C – old 29.9 C 1992
Yorkton 31.7 C – old 30.9 C 2001
More heat records are expected to fall today with temperatures soaring into the mid-30s.
