A two-wheel theft led to one man in his 20’s being charged with multiple crimes Saturday evening.
According to police, an individual on a bicycle was peddling down Preston Avenue North and 108th Street West just before 5:30 p.m.
A 26-year-old man approached the cyclist, armed with bear spray. He then demanded the bike. The suspect allegedly stole the bicycle before fleeing. The cyclist wasn’t hurt.
Around 15 minutes later, police were able to find the suspect with the bicycle near 25th Street East and 2nd Avenue North. They arrested the man.
He is now facing charges that include robbery, possessing I.D.’s relating to another person and possession of a controlled substance.
