Drive-through and walk-in COVID-19 immunization clinics are to operate in communities across Saskatchewan on Wednesday and throughout the week.
The clinics are open to everyone 37 and over or frontline workers such as teachers, firefighters, corrections officers and border security officials. Those individuals must present a letter of eligibility.
The drive-through at Regina’s Evraz Place is to be open Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., each day.
There also are walk-in clinics in the Queen City set for Friday (9 a.m. to 4 p.m., South Leisure Centre) and Saturday (9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Core Ritchie Neighbourhood Centre).
In Saskatoon, the drive-through at Prairieland Park is to be open Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
There also are to be drive-throughs in Eston (Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Eston Community Complex), Lloydminster (Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Exhibition Grounds), North Battleford (Wednesday, 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., 391 Yellowhead Highway) and Prince Albert (Friday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thorpe’s Industry).
Walk-in clinics are set for Humboldt (Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Uniplex), Martensville (Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Northridge Centennial Community Centre ), Melville (Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Horizon Credit Union Centre) and Moose Jaw (Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Exhibition Grounds).
The clinic in Moose Jaw is open only to those 40 and over.
All of the drive-through and walk-in clinics operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
As for booked appointments, the age of eligibility remains 37 and over.
People in that age group can book their appointment online 24/7 or by calling 1-833-727-5829 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.
People aged 18 to 36 living in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District can book appointments by phone, as can all remaining Phase 1 health-care workers who aren’t eligible by age, and people with underlying health conditions who are considered clinically extremely vulnerable and aren’t age eligible.
There also are pharmacies across the province that are administering vaccinations to those who meet the age or occupation criteria. A list of drug stores participating in the project can be found here.
