The Saskatoon Tribal Council (STC) is opening its vaccination clinic at SaskTel Centre to more people next week.
The tribal council will be giving out roughly 2,000 AstraZeneca doses starting Monday.
On a first-come, first-served basis, the clinic will administer 332 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine every day for walk-ins only.
The clinic will remain open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, May 8, or until they run out of doses.
According to the STC, the Indigenous-led clinic will attempt to vaccinate an average of eight people every ten minutes for people aged 40 and older and teachers under 40-years old, as long as they can show proof of employment or a paystub.
Police officers, fire fighters, correctional workers and probation officers have also been added to the province’s priority vaccination list recently.
