OTTAWA — Lukas Vejdemo scored twice and Alex Belzile had three assists as the Laval Rocket held on to beat the Belleville Senators 5-4 on Wednesday in American Hockey League play.
Ryan Poehling, Joel Teasdale and Tobie Paquette-Bisson rounded out the offence for Laval (20-5-2), which is 8-1-1 in its last 10 contests.
Mark Kastelic, Angus Crookshank, Cole Reinhardt and Parker Kelly replied for Belleville (10-13-1), which trailed 5-1 midway through the third period before making it close.
Laval goalie Michael McNiven made 26 saves while Belleville’s Filip Gustavsson stopped 32-of-37 shots.
