A blaze destroyed a garage on the 900 block of Avenue L North Sunday afternoon.
Just after 1 p.m., the Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a call of the detached garage blaze. When they arrived, the fire had already extended to a boat in the yard.
In addition, heat damage was found in two homes.
The cause of the fire was accidental, no one was hurt.
The damage is estimated to be around $120,000. The traffic restrictions were lifted in the area around 3:30 p.m.
Two fires Saturday
It was a busy weekend for fire crews.
In addition to a Montgomery Place garage fire that made smoke visible across much of the city, there was a second fire Saturday.
At about 7:48 p.m., firefighters were called to Leland Place, just behind the Centre Mall for a fire in a home.
Crews were told in multiple 911 calls that there were people with disabilities in the building who were unable to exit.
When crews showed up, everyone was outside of the house, safe and sound.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze, but have not yet reported a damage estimate or cause.
