The $1.33M rent reduction comes from what the club owed during seasons impacted by the pandemic.
Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson entered the CFL chat room over the weekend.
It was an innocent-enough tweet. Johnson was defending himself in a conversation between the president of Football Canada, Jim Mullin, and CFLer John Rush.
Of course, all we’re left with since the CFL and XFL announced they were talking about talking is speculation.
And that’s what the conversation was doing, speculating on a mix of spring and fall football. Rush was concerned about the health and safety of players and that led @TheRock’s official Twitter account to say they’ll come up with a smart schedule with the players’ health of utmost importance but is also great for the fans.
So, here we are. The Rock is talking about scheduling. He’s further along than talking about talking.
It’s another reason the CFL fans are waiting for the other shoe to drop. And we’re hoping it doesn’t feel like a “rock bottom” and a three count on the three-down game.
