A Saskatoon housefire forced one homeowner to take matters into their own hands.
Fire crews were called to a home on the 100 block of Klassen Cres., in the Hampton Village neighbourhood, at about 12:49 a.m. Sunday.
In a news release, Saskatoon fire said the homeowner noticed a popping noise in one of their bedrooms, which is when they took a look to find flames.
Then, the person rushed to the bathroom, filled up the tub and used that water to extinguish the blaze before crews showed up.
Investigators believe it was an accidental electrical fire. Nobody was hurt, but the damage is estimated at around $25,000.
