The Saskatchewan Health Authority has increased eligibility for the AstraZeneca drive-through clinic at Evraz Place to anyone over the age of 59.
The clinic, which until Saturday morning was only accepting people between the ages of 60 and 69, announced just after noon Saturday that anyone 70 or over could attend.
The clinic opened Monday for people aged 64 and then dropped the eligibility to 60. After the National Advisory Committee on Immunization determined the AstraZeneca vaccine could be given to people 65 and over, the Regina clinic started accepting everyone in their 60s.
On Saturday, the ceiling of 69 years old was eliminated.
Saturday evening, the age floor was dropped by one year to 59.
The clinic is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Wait times for the clinic can be found here and are updated hourly from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Information also is available at 107.5 FM on the radio dial.
People aged 67 and older still can book vaccination appointments online 24/7 using their health card here or by calling 1-833-SASKVAX (1-833-727-5829) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Anyone who gets a shot at the drive-through clinic but who also had booked an appointment is reminded to cancel their booking online or by calling the SASKVAX phone number.
Access to Evraz Place for the drive-through clinic can only be made via the northbound lane of Lewvan Drive at the 11th Avenue entrance. Drivers should follow the green signs for the drive-through clinic.
Anyone going to the drive-through testing site at Evraz Place should follow the yellow signs. People going to the pre-booked mass immunization clinic can enter the grounds from Elphinstone Street and 10th Avenue and follow the blue signs.
