What will returning to the stands look like in Canada?
I’ve asked CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie if you’ll need proof of vaccination and he quickly cited conversations he’s had with the league’s legal counsel on that sticky issue.
Saskatchewan Roughriders president Craig Reynolds said at the very least, masks will be mandatory.
But in New York, if you want to go see the Mets or Yankees, you’ll need either proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test to be one of the fans to watch a baseball game.
When you look at the national political spectrum, you likely should put Canada in more of a New York state of mind on its approach to COVID than that of Florida, which is having a full capacity event for UFC. In Texas, the Rangers are allowing a full-capacity stadium for their home opener against the Jays.
We do know Canada has been dragging its feet on allowing fans back in the stands but I feel like the paperwork you need will be more than just a ticket when it happens.
And then, as Ambrosie hinted, we may have to see what the courts have to say.
