There hasn’t been one in forever. The last time there was one, Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive end Bobby Jurasin admitted he knocked on the door of Winnipeg Blue Bombers offensive tackle Chris Walby to do one-on-ones in the hotel hallway.
Yeah, it’s been a while.
I’m all for putting a bigger spotlight on the stars of the CFL but all-star games suck for the most part.
There are other ways. Bring back Damon Allen’s QB Challenge or a similar type of event where the stars of the game can show off some skills and be competitive. It doesn’t need to be a live event, but a made-for-television spectacle.
The NFL has introduced dodgeball games and drone drops to its all-star festivities. It also gives fans a closer look at the characters within the league.
Have some fun. Show some personality. But a boring old all-star game? Pass!
