The drive-through AstraZeneca vaccination clinic at Evraz Place is now accepting anyone between the ages of 60 and 64.
In a media release late Tuesday morning, the Saskatchewan Health Authority said it was expanding eligibility for the AstraZeneca vaccinations at the clinic to 60- and 61-year-olds. Earlier in the day, it had added 62-year-olds to the eligibility list.
The clinic opened Monday morning for 64-year-olds and then expanded Monday afternoon to 63-year-olds.
The drive-through site is open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. It will continue to operate as long as there are doses available.
The province previously received 15,500 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
“Individuals who are now eligible are strongly encouraged to attend,” the SHA said in its release. “You cannot book these immunizations online or by phone.
“To ensure a positive experience for those eligible and minimize waits, please do not attend this clinic unless you have been advised your age is eligible.”
Those who want to attend the clinic are reminded to enter the Evraz Place grounds through the Lewvan Drive and 11th Avenue entrance and follow the green signs.
The site is to open for other ages when possible in reverse order from oldest to youngest.
