One person is dead following a Saturday night fire in a Saskatoon apartment complex.
Fire crews were called to the apartment building on the south end of Broadway Ave. shortly after 7 p.m.
Smoke was billowing out of the three-storey building’s ground floor. When fire crews arrived, they found a fire in one suite.
There, they also found a body. They have not yet been able to identify the victim.
They managed to put out the blaze by around 7:40 p.m. Around $120,000 worth of smoke and fire damage was done to the apartment.
Investigators believe the blaze was an accident.
