Five Regina schools have reported cases of COVID-19.
Two of the positive cases are at Sacred Heart Community School.
“It is important to know that these cases have not been transmitted in the school and have come from the community,” the Regina Catholic School Division said in a media release. “In an abundance of caution, we have closed the impacted classrooms and associated bus route temporarily.”
The division said parents and guardians of the students in the classrooms and on the bus have been notified. All other classrooms are to be open Monday.
Cases also were identified at Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School, MacNeill School, Albert Community School and St. Augustine Community School.
All four of those schools are to be open Monday, with affected students moving to online learning.
Seven schools reported cases Saturday.
The Catholic division said at Miller, the cases Saturday and Sunday were in separate day groupings, meaning there isn’t transmission within the school. Some classrooms are to close until March 26, but others are to be open as usual Monday.
