8:30 – Saskatchewan’s online and phone booking system for COVID-19 vaccinations got off to a great start Thursday, with thousands of appointments made in the first few hours after the launch. This morning, the program is expanding to include all residents over 80 years old, and Health Minister Paul Merriman joins Gormley to tell us more.

12:00 – Police in Saskatchewan are calling for priority access to the COVID-19 vaccine. In a joint statement, a number of police organizations requested cops get their vaccines as soon as possible, as their role as first responders doesn’t allow for social distancing when interacting with the public. About 400 officers in Regina and Saskatoon have had to quarantine since the beginning of the pandemic, along with about 450 RCMP officers. Casey Ward leads the Regina Police Association and Saskatchewan Federation of Police Officers, and he joins Gormley to tell us more.
