Saskatchewan enters the final day of round-robin play at the Tim Hortons Brier with a 5-2 record.
Matt Dunstone’s Regina foursome beat Eddie MacKenzie of Prince Edward Island 10-5 on Wednesday night at the Canadian men’s curling championship. The Saskatchewan representatives bounced back from a 9-2 loss earlier in the day to Kevin Koe’s Wild Card 2 entry.
Koe sat atop the Pool B standings after Wednesday’s action with a 6-1 record and has clinched a spot in the championship pool. Dunstone, Ontario’s John Epping and Team Canada’s Brad Gushue were tied for second at 5-2, with Quebec’s Mike Fournier and the Nova Scotia team skipped by Scott McDonald next at 4-3.
The top four teams in each of the two pools after the round-robin advance to the championship pool.
Dunstone is to complete his round-robin schedule Thursday afternoon against McDonald.
