It was a record-breaking cold stretch for parts of Saskatchewan.
February saw some of the coldest days on record as extreme cold settled in for over a week.
Nearly 50 cold weather records were broken over multiple days.

Moose Jaw and Regina didn’t break records during the cold stretch but did see some near record temperatures.
Feb. 7 saw Canada’s Most Notorious City reach -35.2, the fifth coldest temperature ever recorded for that day.
On Feb. 13, Moose Jaw reached -37.5 — third coldest temperature all-time in the city for that day. On the same day, Regina also saw it’s third coldest temperature ever for that day at -38.9.
Regina also saw the fifth coldest temperatures for Feb. 8 (-38.1), Feb. 11 (-38.3) and Feb. 13 (-36.8) during the cold stretch.
The coldest ever temperature recorded in Regina for February was -47.8 on Feb. 16, 1936.
