A blaze in the Confederation neighbourhood area in Saskatoon has claimed the life of a family’s dog.
Saturday night, fire crews were called to the 100 block of Cartier Crescent, just west of the intersection between 33rd Street and Confederation Drive, for reports of a garage fire.
Crews were able to extinguish the blaze but found the dead dog inside the structure.
No civilians or firefighters were hurt in the incident. Fire investigators have marked the damage around $25,000.
Investigators are still looking into the cause, but they don’t believe it was suspicious.
