All buses serving Saskatoon public and Catholic school students were cancelled.
Service is automatically cancelled when the temperature with windchill is below -45 C.
The Prairie Spirit School Division, which includes communities between Saskatoon and Prince Albert, also cancelled bus service Thursday.
Schools were open.
