Bus routes are being affected by the frigid temperatures Monday morning.
Prairie Spirit School Division has cancelled its bus routes for the morning, according to its website.
No word as of yet if the afternoon routes will be affected with the school division.
Saskatoon Public Schools says all school buses serving the division are cancelled for Monday. This includes afternoon bus routes.
All schools remain open and classes will run as scheduled.
For the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division, elementary students in Saskatoon, Warman and Martensville, along with high school buses from Warman and Martensville to Saskatoon are cancelled. Additionally, intensive needs high school buses have also been cancelled.
Those cancellations are for the entire day.
An extreme cold warning is still in effect for the Saskatoon area, along with the entire province of Saskatchewan.
As of 7 a.m. Monday, the temperature sits at – 38 C with wind chill values at – 54 C, according to Environment Canada.
