Moose Jaw’s mayor is disrobing to promote Canada’s Most Notorious City.
On its Twitter account, the city tweeted out a new ad that features Fraser Tolmie poolside at Temple Gardens Hotel and Spa.

The good-natured promotional video for the city and Tourism Moose Jaw has some fun at the expense of government leaders from around the country who have travelled during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Are you a Canadian politician taking heat for going away at Christmas?” Tolmie asks, sitting in a lounge chair after taking two cucumbers out of his eyes, while wearing one of the spa’s standard-issue white robes.
Drink in hand, and at one point pausing to take a bite of a strawberry, Tolmie goes on to say he doesn’t need to take the heat to get away from it all because Canada’s Most Notorious City has all the amenities — and there’s no shaming.
He then takes off his robe and goes into the water.
“If you’re someone trying to escape from it all, do what Al Capone did: Come to Canada’s Most Notorious city. We’ll never tell,” the ad finishes.
Tolmie joined the Greg Morgan Morning Show to discuss why the video was made, aside from the fun of it.
“We want to focus on what we can do. My job is to create a healthy economy for our city and we want to attract people to the small businesses. We’ve obviously said, ‘Follow the rules,’ ” he said.
The minute-long commercial reminds people to follow all current public health rules around travel. The video has been viewed tens of thousands of times since being tweeted Tuesday.
