The Saskatoon Police Service has charged a 17-year-old girl after a joyride in the city on Sunday night.
In a media release, police said they got a call at about 10:45 p.m., that a car had been stolen from the 400 block of Cumberland Avenue North.
Officers saw the car travelling south on Wiggins Avenue near 14th Street and attempted a traffic stop, but the car took off.
Police say the car hit two police vehicles and a building in the 1700 block of Ontario Avenue before stopping. The driver tried to run away, but she was caught quickly by officers.
The 17-year-old, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, evading police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and breach of court orders.
