8:30 – While Saskatchewan saw its single deadliest day from COVID-19 Wednesday with 14 new deaths, Premier Scott Moe declined to add new restrictions and instead extended our current public health order to Feb. 19. Moe also announced hefty fines of $14,000 for Crackers and the Crazy Cactus in Saskatoon and Stats Cocktails and Dreams in Regina for failing to abide by public health orders. Moe joins Drew to discuss the latest on Saskatchewan’s fight against COVID-19.

12:00 – The strange online craze for sea shanties has revived interest in one of Canada’s most legendary folk musicians: Stan Rogers. Eric Alper, who handles publicity for Rogers’ record labels, says the craze has led to renewed interest and millions of streams for Rogers’ classic Canadian sea shanty “Barrett’s Privateers,” which was ranked one of Canada’s top songs of all time. Alper joins Drew to tell us more about the sea shanties craze, and how it’s brining lots of online attention to one of Canada’s most beloved folk musicians.
