Seniors living on their own in Prince Albert can make an appointment to get a COVID-19 vaccination over the next two days.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority said Monday that doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine will be available Tuesday and Wednesday to seniors aged 70 and over who are living independently in P.A.
The vaccinations are by appointment only. Those who are interested must be able to travel to the immunization clinics.
“There are a limited number of appointment spots available at this time and they will be filled on a first-come first-served basis,” the SHA said in a media release.
Appointments can be booked by calling 1-877-670-1226. Callers will be asked for their health card number, date of birth and contact information.
The SHA said people aren’t eligible to be vaccinated if they’ve been diagnosed with COVID in the past 90 days, if they’ve received any other vaccines in the past 14 days, or if they’ve received a dose of COVID vaccine previously at another location.
The clinics the SHA previously held in some communities filled up quickly.
