The Saskatoon Police Service has arrested a third suspect in connection with an incident in December that left a 14-year-old boy dead.
The 26-year-old man was arrested Tuesday by the guns and gangs unit with the assistance of patrol officers. He was charged with manslaughter, robbery, and break and enter.
Two male youths — aged 17 and 18 — face the same charges. They can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
On Dec. 7, the 14-year-old died after an altercation occurred at a home in the 400 block of Avenue R South.
Police confirmed the 14-year-old was among a group of armed people trying to break into the home just after 7:30 p.m.
The 14-year-old was injured after a fight broke out. He subsequently was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
