The Saskatoon Police Service says there has been a rash of break-ins to residential garages over the past four months.
Since October, police have investigated more than 40 break-ins, all of which have involved the perpetrator(s) gaining entry to garages with wooden overhead doors by removing one of the door’s panels.
According to police, tools and large items — including a snowmobile and snowblowers — were taken in some of the break-ins. In others, nothing was taken.
Police say residents should report any break-ins, even if items aren’t taken, and should watch for suspicious activity or vehicles in their neighbourhoods.
Anyone with information about these or other break-and-enters is asked to call the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
