An attached garage caught fire Sunday afternoon, causing around $70,000 in damage.
That’s according to the Saskatoon Fire Department, which said it was dispatched to the home just before 3 p.m. Sunday.
Callers were reporting flames coming from the attached garage of a home on the 200 block of Gathercole Crescent.
A search of the home confirmed that all occupants safely exited the residence.
The fire investigator’s office completed its examination of the fire scene Sunday evening, concluding the blaze was caused by a malfunctioning electrical extension cord.
