The BHP Enchanted Forest is having a banner year in 2020.
While many favourite events had to be cancelled, the Enchanted Forest has been able to continue with its following intact.
“We’re very happy with the way people have responded this year,” Hugh Vassos, its Marketing Manager told 650 CKOM Monday. “The distancing is nailed down with cars. It’s been a tremendous year.”
Vassos said that as long as people show up before 10 p.m., they will get in to check out its holiday-inspired displays.
He said the lineups have been long, but people have been good about the wait.
“People want to get through and it’s a little bit long, but we gave out some tips about how to enjoy it. If you’re bringing the family, maybe bring some snacks and treats to pass the time while you’re in the line, listen to some Christmas songs,” he said with a laugh.
Its final day will be on Jan. 9, 2021. It will also be open New Years Day and New Years Eve.
In terms of attendance, this year is on track to surpass even the best past years, according to Vassos.
“We’re coming off a couple very strong years, attendance-wise,” he said. “Right now, we’re on path to surpass those, so if everything holds we should be looking at a very successful year.”
