Saskatoon police have lifted all traffic restrictions after a protest marched through downtown Saturday afternoon.
“Police were notified about the event earlier this week and have spoken with organizers,” Police said in a media release.
Protestors arrived at Kiwanis Park in Saskatoon for a rally that began around 2 p.m. to protest COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions in the province.
After a series of speeches from the bandshell at the centre of the park, roughly 100 protesters moved through parts of downtown and briefly impacted traffic at both the Broadway Bridge and Traffic Bridge with police clearing the way to allow them to move through.
Police said all restrictions were lifted and traffic was back to normal by 4:30 p.m.
