Premier Scott Moe’s COVID-19 test has come back negative.
In a media release Monday, Moe’s office said he had started self-isolating after potentially being exposed to a person who had tested positive for COVID-19.
The release said Moe wasn’t experiencing any symptoms but had had a COVID-19 test as a precaution.
The potential exposure occurred Nov. 15 at Original Joe’s in Prince Albert, where Moe had lunch with family members after a death in the family.
The premier participated in a media conference Wednesday by video from his home in Shellbrook, where he was self-isolating.
On Friday, Moe’s office said he will remain in isolation until Sunday, as per public health regulations. He’s to be in Regina on Monday for the first day of the legislative session, including the election of the speaker and the delivery of the Throne Speech.
It was the second time Moe had potentially been exposed to an individual who tested positive. A similar incident occurred during a campaign stop in Prince Albert in early October, after which Moe self-monitored for symptoms.
