Students in one classroom at each of Deshaye Catholic School and Grant Road School will be learning remotely after a case of COVID-19 was identified at each school.
In a media release Wednesday, the Regina Catholic School Division said all other classrooms at Deshaye — located in the Parliament Place neighbourhood — would remain open. The affected classroom is closed until Nov. 30.
“We are working closely with Public Health staff to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff,” the division said in the release. “Any close contacts of the individual have been asked to self-isolate.”
The division didn’t say whether the individual was a student or a staff member.
Later Wednesday, Regina Public Schools said a case had been detected at Grant Road School.
Students in the affected classroom are to return to in-person learning Nov. 30. The school in the Whitmore Park neighbourhood is to remain open for all other students.
