Most high schools in Saskatoon are moving to Level 3 of the Safe Schools Plan on the advice from the provincial government.
To help slow the spread of COVID-19, the province announced Friday schools with a population greater than 600 should reduce the number of kids in school on a given day by cutting back on in-person classes in favour of online learning.
Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS) is implementing the measure at Bethlehem Catholic High School, Bishop James Mahoney High School, Holy Cross High School and St. Joseph High School. The division said students will alternate days between in-person and online classes.
Saskatoon Public Schools (SPS) said Aden Bowman, Bedford Road, Centennial, Evan Hardy, Marion M. Graham, Mount Royal, Tommy Douglas and Walter Murray would move to Level 3.
Both school divisions said this will begin on Thursday.
Until then, regular in-school classes will continue Monday through Wednesday.
