One woman is dead after jumping from the University Bridge Friday afternoon.
Police received a call at roughly 2:45 p.m. Friday of a woman seen lying on the ice on the river. She was declared dead at the scene.
Members of the Saskatoon Police Service and the Saskatoon Fire Department are at the scene.
At one point, both westbound lanes of the bridge were closed and traffic was backed up in the surrounding areas.
As of 5:30 p.m. Friday police said traffic was again moving on the bridge.
