Both Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools and Saskatoon Public Schools won’t be running buses or taxis Thursday due to residential road conditions.
In-person classes have been closed since Monday, following the blizzard in Saskatoon over the weekend, but are scheduled to resume Thursday.
Specifically, buses operated by First Student, Hertz and LP3 are cancelled for Saskatoon Public Schools, including taxis that transport students.
The division said it is difficult for buses to navigate the residential roads and could create potentially unsafe situations for students.
Families who rely on these modes of transportation are being asked to find alternate transportation to class.
Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools says bus and taxi service is cancelled for Martensville and Warman as well.
Services in Humboldt and Biggar are scheduled to run. The division is asking that if students can’t make it to school, to let the school know.
