Catholic and public schools are moving to online learning for a day as clean-up of the weekend’s massive snowstorm continues.
Saskatoon received 31 centimetres — just over a foot — of snow from Saturday to Monday morning.
Saskatoon Public Schools and Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS) both announced in-person classes are cancelled for Tuesday, Nov. 10. This includes GSCS schools in Warman and Martensville.
In a release, the divisions note that while crews are cleaning up the snow, there could still be potentially unsafe road conditions. Challenges were also identified for safely operating school and transit buses.
Students and parents are asked to check their email and/or online learning platform for instructions.
In-person classes are set to resume on Thursday. Wednesday is the Remembrance Day statutory holiday.
